Deaf Abused Women's Network

How you can help

You can make a tax-deductible donation to support DAWN’s work.  We need to build up an emergency fund for our clients to provide short term help for them.  We need funds for our operations, especially for printing and communications.   Your donation can help support the costs of pagers used by our Advocates and clients. Donate now!

You can contribute to DAWN when you sell items on eBay. You can donate a part or all of your sale to DAWN. Here's how it works:  you use the MIssionFish group window on eBay to choose DAWN.  You register with MissionFIsh and select a percentage of the final value you want to donate. Then you complete your item listing on eBay.  The item will appear with the eBay Giving Works icon.  DAWN and the donation percentage will appear in the item description.  Once the item is sold, the seller pays the donation to MissionFish.  MissionFish distributes the funds to DAWN and provides a receipt to the seller for the gift.  You can learn more about MissionFish at http://www.missionfish.org

You can consider working as a Volunteer Advocate in our Network Advocate Program.

If you are a certified interpreter, you can donate pro bono interpreting to DAWN.  We are working to have all agencies and organizations include interpreters in their budgets but some meetings we must attend do not yet provide funds for interpreters.  Sometimes we need interpreter assistance for clients also.

You can join a committee to work on fundraising events for DAWN. We are developing our fundraising event calendar now and will welcome your assistance if you’re good with events, details and planning!
