DAWN
Deaf Abused Women's Network

Our Programs

DAWN offers programs developed especially to empower Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Deaf-Blind people to work against domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking in the Deaf community.

Our Network Advocate Program enables women fluent in American Sign Language to provide support and encouragement to survivors. Twice a year we offer an intensive Network Advocate Training Program, open to Deaf people who are applying to be Advocates, and others who want to learn about dealing with domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking.

Our Survivor Support Program features an ongoing weekly Survivor Support Group and a 24-hour TTY Hotline.  The Support Group will resume in Spring 2008.

Outreach, Education and training includes our work with Deaf organizations and agencies, and with hearing service providers. We offer a Deaf Women in the Deaf Community workshop. We also make presentations and offer training for organizations and agencies in the area. See the Calendar of Events  for information about upcoming presentations.

Contact us if you’d like a workshop, presentation or training event for your group or organization.
