The goal of CPS is to assess and provide services to children and families in an effort to protect children, preserve families and prevent further maltreatment.  CPS provides crisis counseling and intervention if needed, and provides referrals to local services in your area.

Rappahannock Council for Children and Parents

The council’s goal is to promote positive parenting and prevent child abuse and neglect to families living in Caroline County, City of Fredericksburg, King George County, Orange County, Spotsylvania County and Stafford County.  Services include events, gatherings and information on how to prevent child abuse.
